  • "What we set out to do was create a home for St Hugo, and home for the brand, as well as build a more premium wine and food destination for the luxury traveller."

    - St Hugo, Adelaide Review

  • "I just wanted to let you know again what a great job you did designing my house. It is eight years ago that we started construction and every day I live in the house I appreciate it so much."

    - Gawler, SA

  • “I like to do things properly. If I’m going to add on to this house, I don’t want it to look like it’s added. We did everything as authentically as we reasonably could.”

    - Client, SA Life magazine

  • “The finished product was much better than I envisaged; you never know how it’s going to look, but I was happy with the end result.”

    - Tanunda, SA

  • “My initial thoughts were that I wanted it to be ‘light, white and bright’. I had free rein from my wife to build the house however I wanted. Fortunately, she likes it.”

    - Client, SA Life magazine

  • “Our home ticks all the boxes from the initial brief: to better utilise our outdoor living space and maximise our views, to increase internal storage areas, and importantly to improve the energy efficiency of our west facing location.”

    - Marananga, SA

  • “JBG helped transform our dreams and plans and sketches into a home with all the attributes we wanted to balance the old (heritage) with new, and with our lifestyle.”

    - Bethany, SA

  • “JBG Architects were really approachable and flexible. They listened to what our family needed and made our ideas work, guiding us through the process so that it was a collaborative effort.”

    - Samuel Rd, Tanunda, SA

  • “They listened to us so beautifully, incorporating the things important to us and made the design all about our family. The project was also followed right through to completion, which makes an architect worth every cent.”

    - Julius St, Tanunda, SA

  • “We wanted to place a strong emphasis on easy living – we often return from the vineyard all dusty or from the beach all sandy, so practicality was at the forefront of our minds.”

    - Client, SA Life magazine

  • “The new owners have clearly trodden a careful path between trying to totally restore Kingsford to its original glory and providing the modern facilities that today’s well-heeled traveller now demands.”

    - Kingsford Homestead, Barossa Living magazine

  • “The JBG team completely understood what needed to work and we immediately developed a relationship of trust. When we saw the initial drawings we knew that our dream would eventuate.”

    - Murray Street Vineyards

  • “From the landscaping to the new building, the whole development is a lovely blend of modern and old. The design satisfies the practicality of a modern office while maintaining the heritage feel of the original building.”

    - Barossa Co-Op

  • “Though the building is inexpensive, it expresses the character of the lighter, more sophisticated premium wines we produce.”

    - Michael Hill Smith, Winemaker - Shaw+Smith Winery

  • When we sat down with JBG Architects we had a handful of ideas and concepts, and a patch of vineyard. Jamie and his team immediately tapped into the direction and feel we wanted for the project. JBG were easy to work with, thorough, and the resulting building is a timeless mixture of old and new. The first word from most visitors mouths when they walk through the door is “wow’”.

    - Richard Angove, Angove Family Winemakers

  • "Working with JBG Architects allowed Hentley Farm to achieve a design that was better than we ever expected. Not only did the design sympathetically retain the charm of the beautiful old buildings, it enhanced their look and feel."

    - Keith Hentschke, Hentley Farm
