The JBG team has worked with some of Australia’s most iconic brands including The Yalumba Wine Co, Shaw+Smith, Rockford Wines, Angove Family Winemakers, Pernod Ricard, Ahrens Group, Casella Wines, Barossa Grape and Wine Association, and numerous regional councils.
After graduating in 1993 from University of Adelaide, with Honours in the Bachelor of Architecture, Jamie worked with a large architectural firm in Sydney designing educational and institutional buildings. Since moving back to the Barossa Valley in 1998, Jamie with his wife Shannon, have worked together to successfully grow JBG Architects into a sought-after architectural practice that services clients across South Australia, New South Wales, Victoria and Asia. Jamie’s vision is for practical design solutions, combined with natural materials and environmental efficiencies for winery, commercial, community, heritage and residential clients.
Joining JBG in 2015, Andrea brings with her ten years experience as a Project Manager having worked as a Senior Consultant for Thinc Projects (now Turner Townsend Thinc). With a pragmatic approach to delivery she has worked on small to medium scale commercial and residential fitout projects both in South Australia and interstate. She has gained skills in coordinating project teams, working with consultants and client liaison. In recent years Andrea has sought out her passion for interior design.
Completing his Bachelor of Architecture in 1995 from the University of South Australia, Wayne worked in Brisbane, Sydney and Singapore for multinational architecture firms including Hassell and Woodhead, running large scale aviation, commercial, winery and environmental projects. Wayne joined JBG Architects in 2010. He has a major interest in environmental sustainable design and completed the Green Building Council’s “Office Building Design Course.” Wayne’s architectural goals are focused on creating spaces that emphasise how users, private or public, interact with the environment, while still responding to the client brief.
Graham joined JBG Architects in 2006 from TAFE SA, where he studied his interest in residential building design and drafting. Now our Residential Specialist, he offers knowledge and guidance to our clients throughout the often difficult process of designing and approving their new house or additions. Graham has since completed further studies in building and construction to enhance his knowledge of the industry. He particularly enjoys working on unique and creative house design concepts that complement the functionality and tastes of their owners.
Lisa brings with her seventeen years of experience in the interior architecture field, having worked on a diverse range of projects around Australia. She is highly involved in the design and documentation process and is quick to comprehend and interpret a client’s needs. Lisa enjoys a collaborative design approach and her attention to detail ensures that no element is overlooked or unconsidered.
Barry completed his Bachelor of Architecture from the University of South Australia in 2004. Throughout his career, he has worked on a variety of residential and commercial projects. His experience in education projects makes him a valuable asset of the JBG team. Having previously been employed as a senior architect at Brown Falconer, Barry worked on projects such as the Adelaidean, a multi-storey complex, set to complete construction in March 2020 and be Adelaide’s tallest building. Barry is interested in environmentally sustainable design and responsible green architecture practice.
Joining JBG in 2019, Sarah graduated from the University of Adelaide with a Bachelor of Architecture. Having previously been a part of the Property team at The Peregrine Cooperation as a retail designer, Sarah worked on heritage, retail and commercial projects across Australia. She completed interior design fit outs for 25 stores, including a high-end redevelopment for a world first concept store, Vape Square on Charles street, Rundle Mall. Her passions are sustainable design, community projects and implementing place into the built environment.
Co-director of JBG Architects, Shannon completed a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Adelaide and assists JBG Architects part time with finance and administration.
